Create a map channel from an existing data source.

Map formats supported include Google My Maps (KML), other KML files and GeoRSS feeds.

To create a Google My Map view these Google My Maps Instructions

1     Data Source Copy the URL of your KML or GeoRSS map data and Paste Here.    More Info   KML and RSS files are supported with some limitations. For Google My Maps : Open your Google My Maps page and click on the 'My Maps' tab. Create a new map or select an existing map. Right-click on the 'KML' or 'View in Google Earth' link, and select 'Copy Link Location' or 'Copy Shortcut' from your browser menu (see below). Paste the copied URL into the textbox above (right-click on the textbox and select 'Paste'). in Firefox: in Internet Explorer: Note: KMZ files cannot be used. A KMZ file is a zipped KML file. If you have a KMZ data file first extract the KML data and then enter the URL of this extracted KML file.

2     Channel Name (Optional) Your Channel Name Use alphanumeric characters only, leave blank to be allocated a random numeric channel name

For logged in users After you create a map channel you can change your channel's settings to modify the map appearance and behaviour. A list of all maps you have added is available in your Channel List. Logged in users can opt to share their map channels in the Library of Map Channels
